Lots going on this this small community!!

The City of Erin will hold a Christmas Celebration in conjunction with the Crafts Fair. There will be no parade this year.
Activities will be from 5p.m.- 7p.m. in City Hall, the Square & Betsy Ligon Park.
Plans include the lighting of the City Christmas Tree by Mayor Baggett, the Annual Ham Giveaway, Photos with Santa & entertainment!

Workshops Offered

Houston Co. Arts Council will be offering the following workshops this semester. If you are interested, please reply to this email or call 931-289-ARTS (2787) by noon on Thursday the week of the workshop. All workshops will be held at the arts building in downtown Erin.

STAGE DIALECTS (ages 15 and up)

Have you ever been curious how those film actors sound like they're from another country?? You, too, can learn to deliver that kind of performance! This class will be a crash course in the International Phonetic Alphabet (which can be used to decode any dialect) as well as an overview of Standard British and Cockney dialects. You'll be glad you came!

Congratulations to Debbie Schmidt who received the Russ James Volunteer Award. This is a much deserved honor Debbie received. You can see Debbie's many efforts thoughout our county by her hard work, organization, leadership and vision on the Celtic Quilt Trail, along with many hours spent in helping to organize our County Fair.

Be sure to attend this charismatic, motion filled, Christmas performance given by a group of highly talented Houston County Students. You must mark your calendar for this performance Tuesday, December 8th 6:00p.m. It's held at the Houston County High School Forum and they only hold ONE performance and you won't want to miss it.
